2006 - The Telex Legacy™ Continues

2005 - Telex Communications develops entry level wireless coaches’ intercom system.  Telex Legacy™ systems are field tested at high schools through out the USA

2005 - Telex Communications and the NFL reach an agreement to deploy the “Lombardi” coaches intercom to all of the NFL teams for the 2006 season.

2004 - Telex introduces the BTR-1 improved encrypted wireless intercom system, nicknamed “Lombardi” after the legendary Green Bay Packer coach.  The BTR-1 systems are field tested by the NFL and introduced to collegiate football

1999 - First NCAA Championship game to use Telex encrypted wireless intercom for coaches communication:  NCAA Fiesta Bowl, Tennesee-vs-Florida State .

January, 1999 - Super Bowl XXXIII was the first Super Bowl to utilize Telex BTR-600 encrypted wireless intercom for coaches communications.

1998 - Telex and EV merge into a single company

Telex supplies the NFL with wireless encrypted intercom for coaches sideline communication.

1997 - Telex introduces first encrypted wireless to colligiate football.   Navy and Air Force are the first two football programs to utilize the new system.  The inaugural football game featuring the the Telex Wireless coaches intercom between these two schools was held Sep 1997.  The NFL continues to field test.

1996 - Telex introduces the first encrypted wireless intercom, BTR-100, forever changing field communication in football.  The NFL tests the new system for the season.

1992 - Telex, for the first time, supplies intercom for ALL television and Radio broadcast facilities at the Summer Olympics in Barcelona , Spain .

1991 - Telex provides wireless intercom solution for the “INSTANT REPLAY” to the NFL.

1990 - Telex provides wired intercom (AudioCom™) to the NFL

1989 - Telex provides the first wireless intercom system, the RadioCom™ BTR-200

1988 - Telex provides wireless referee’s mic to the NFL

1984 - Telex provides coaches’ headsets to the NFL

1976 - Montreal Olympics – First Olymic games to use Telex digital matrix intercom systems.   All Olympic games since 1976 have utilized Telex Intercoms for communication.

1969 - July 20, 10:56 p.m. - Neil Armstrong becomes the first man to set foot on the moon.  He is using an EV microphone when he said, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

1945 - Telex incorporates and produces its first headsets.

1936 - Telex is founded as a partnership to produce hearing aids.

1930 - Design of a PA system to assist legendary Notre Dame football coach, Knute Rockne.   Rockne refers to the new system as his “electric voice”, inspiring the company name Electro Voice (EV).  EV incorporates in 1930.
